Yes — and usually by a lot. UNC Charlotte on-campus housing with a required meal plan can run up to $16,528 a year. Our rooms start at $525/month, which works out to around $6,300/year. No mandatory dining contract attached. You pay for your room. That’s it. Most students and their families save thousands switching to off-campus.

We’ve been managing Charlotte-area residential properties since 2013. There’s a real lease, a real team behind it, and a real process when something needs to be fixed.

Application decisions typically come back within 24–48 hours after you submit all your documents. You need a government-issued photo ID, proof of enrollment or income, and rental history if you have it. No rental history? Not a dealbreaker — especially for first-time renters. Once you’re approved, move-in can happen within a week in most cases.

Yes. A parent or family member co-signer is common and completely welcome. The co-signer application fee is $50 — same as the applicant fee. They go through a standard background and credit check, get a full copy of the executed lease, and are listed on the contract.
